Mysore/Mysuru: A two-wheeler rider sustained injuries while reportedly trying to avoid Police, who were conducting face mask drive on Infosys Road at Hebbal yesterday.

The injured rider is Akarsh. Yesterday afternoon, Hebbal Police were conducting a drive against those for not wearing face mask. The Police, who saw Akarsh, riding a scooter without wearing a face mask, tried to stop him during which Akarsh, who reportedly tried to avoid being caught by the Police, lost control of his scooter and fell down sustaining injuries.

Meanwhile, DCP Dr. A.N. Prakash Gowda, speaking to Star of Mysore said that no case has been registered on the rider and added that the video, which is doing rounds on social media shows no assault on the rider by the Police, but shows Akarsh, questioning the Police for assaulting him unnecessarily.
