Rider killed as car rams into scooter

Mysuru: A 75-year-old man was killed on the spot, when a car rammed into his scooter at Rajivnagar 2nd Stage near Narayana Hospital yesterday.

The deceased is Samiulla Khan, a resident of Udayagiri in city. He leaves behind his wife and four daughters.

Yesterday, Samiulla was proceeding on his Honda Activa scooter from Udayagiri towards the Ring Road, when a speeding car rammed into his scooter and fled without stopping resulting in Samiulla being killed on the spot, according to Siddarthanagar Traffic Police, who have registered a case in this regard.

Namaz-e-Janaza of Samiulla was held at Masjid-e-Azam on Ashoka Road last evening, followed by the burial at the Muslim Burial Grounds near Tipu Circle.
