Rider killed as tipper rams into bike

Mysuru: A bike rider was killed on the spot when a tipper truck reportedly rammed into the bike he was riding near Royal Inn signal light junction on the Ring Road in city on Saturday.

The deceased bike rider is Jayaramu, who on Saturday morning, was proceeding on his bike (KA-09 V-1437) near the signal light when the tipper truck (KA-11 B-5376), allegedly violating the traffic signal, came speeding on the right side and rammed into the bike, resulting in Jayaramu falling from the bike and the tipper running over his head.

Though the public rushed Jayaramu to a private hospital, he was declared brought dead by the doctors.

V.V. Traffic Police, who have registered a case in this regard, are investigating.
