Rider killed as two bikes collide head-on

Mysuru: A two-wheeler rider was killed while another sustained minor injuries when the two bikes collided head-on on Sinduvalli-Byatahalli Road on Sunday night. The deceased rider has been identified as B. Siddaraju (26), an employee of a private factory in Tandavapura and a resident of Daripura village.

On Sunday, Siddaraju, who had gone to Nanjangud on his bike (KA-09-JN-7021) at about 2 pm, was proceeding on Sinduvalli-Byatahalli Road towards Jayapura at about 10 pm, when another bike (KA-09-JZ-7338), which came from Tallur side collided head-on with Siddaraju’s bike. As a result, Siddaraju sustained serious injuries and breathed his last while the other rider escaped with minor injuries.

Based on the complaint from Siddaraju’s brother Shivamurthy, Mysuru South Police have registered a case against the other rider identified as Prabhu.
