Rider killed as unidentified vehicle hits bike in Bannur

Bannur: A two-wheeler rider, who had sustained serious injuries after an unidentified vehicle hit the bike he was riding on Malavalli Road in Bannur, has succumbed to injuries at K.R. Hospital in Mysuru on Mar. 7 midnight.

The deceased is Siddappaji (56), a carpenter and a resident of Chamanahalli in Bannur.

Siddappaji was working in Mysuru and used to travel on his bike (KA-55-K-0970) daily from Bannur. On Mar. 7 night, Siddapaji was on his way to his place and while he was proceeding in front of Sugarcane Office on Malavalli Road in Bannur town, an unidentified vehicle hit the bike he was riding resulting in Siddappaji sustaining serious injuries.

A few persons, who knew him, rushed him to Bannur Government Hospital, where he was provided first-aid and was later shifted to K.R. Hospital in Mysuru, where he succumbed to injuries midnight.

A case in this regard has been registered at Bannur Police Station.
