Rider killed as bus rams into bike

Mysuru: In a tragic incident, a bike rider, who sustained serious head injuries when a KSRTC bus rammed into the bike he was riding on Manandawadi Road, died in the hospital after failing to responding to the treatment on Saturday.

The deceased rider has been identified as Chandru (40), a resident of Annur village in H.D. Kote taluk.Chandru on Friday night was on his way to his village from Mysuru on his Hero Honda Splendor bike, when a KSRTC bus coming from the opposite direction rammed into the bike near Chitravana Resort on Manadawadi Road here.

Chandru, was immediately rushed to Brindavan Hospital in Jayalakshmipuram, but breathed his last yesterday morning after failing to respond to the treatment.

Mysuru South Rural Police SI Jayaprakash, who has registered a case, has seized the bus and is investigating.
