Rider killed as goods vehicle rams into scooter

Mysuru: A scooterist was killed on the spot, when a goods vehicle rammed into the scooter he was riding on Lalitha Mahal Road here yesterday.

The deceased has been identified as Mahadevu (45), a resident of Doddapura village in T. Narasipur taluk, who was working at Annapoorneshwari Bar and Restaurant in N.R. Mohalla here.

Mahadevu was riding his Honda Activa scooter (KA-55 Q-6839) towards Mysuru, when the goods vehicle (KA-16 9165) coming from the ‘Y’ intersection of Lalitha Mahal Road and T. Narasipur Road rammed into his scooter resulting in Mahadevu suffering serious head injuries and breathing his last on the spot, according to the Police.

Siddarthanagar Traffic Police, who have registered a case in this regard, are investigating.
