Mysore/Mysuru: A bike rider was killed on the spot, while the pillion rider suffered injuries after the bike skidded near Harohalli in the taluk on Saturday morning.

While the deceased has been identified as Bhuvan (20), a resident of H.D. Kote, the injured pillion rider has been identified as Yogesh. He (Yogesh) has been admitted to a private hospital.

Bhuvan and Yogesh, who were friends, were proceeding towards Mysuru on the bike at about 11.30 am yesterday, when the rider lost control of the bike which skidded near Harohalli, resulting in Bhuvan suffering serious head injuries and breathing his last on the spot.

Jurisdictional Police have registered a case in this regard.
