Rider, pedestrian killed in separate incidents

Mysuru: A bike rider and a pedestrian were killed in separate incidents on June 30 in city.

In the first incident, Maridevaru and Mahesh were proceeding in separate bikes on the Ring Road near R.T. Nagar and took a left turn, when a speeding lorry coming on the right side rammed into Mahesh’s bike resulting in Mahesh sustaining serious injuries.

Though he was rushed to a private hospital, Mahesh breathed his last after failing to respond to the treatment.

K.R. Traffic Police have registered a case in this regard.

In the second incident, a pedestrian was fatally knocked down by a KSRTC bus near Fountain Circle in city.

The deceased has been identified as K. Shivanna. He was walking near the Circle when the bus rammed into him killing Shivanna on the spot.

A case has been registered at N.R. Traffic Police Station in this regard.
