Road accident: Woman succumbs to injuries

Mysuru: A 36-year-old woman, who was undergoing treatment in a hospital for injuries she suffered after falling from the bike, breathed her last in the hospital yesterday.

The deceased has been identified as Vanaja, wife of Ramesh and a resident of Kurimandi in N.R. Mohalla here.

On May 9 at about 4.30 pm, Vanaja, along with her husband, were proceeding towards their house from Columbia Asia Hospital side and when they reached near Pushpashram, the bike ran over a pothole, resulting in Vanaja losing balance and falling from the bike.

Vanaja, who suffered serious head injuries, was rushed to JSS Hospital, where she breathed her last after failing to respond to the treatment, said N.R. Traffic Inspector C. Kiran Kumar, who has registered a case.
