Sir,
In response to a letter published in Star of Mysore a couple of months ago, the Mysuru City Corporation (MCC) took prompt action to re-lay the medians near the Vidyavardhaka College of Engineering (VVCE) intersection.
However, with the increasing volume of traffic from the Vijayanagar Water Tank towards Trinetra Circle — including vehicles turning towards VVCE and passing through to Railway Layout — the situation has become difficult to manage.
A particular concern is the movement of vehicles from Trinetra Circle towards the Water Tank, especially those attempting a right turn into the Railway Layout. Adding to the risk, vehicles descending from the Water Tank side tend to pick up speed due to the slope, increasing the chances of accidents.
To address this, I strongly urge the MCC to install road humps at the following points: In front of Sapthagiri Glass, near KFC and on the road leading to VVCE.
These measures will help regulate speed, improve traffic flow, and significantly reduce the risk of collisions at this increasingly busy intersection. I request the MCC to act swiftly and install effective road humps to ensure the safety of all commuters.
