Mysuru: The audience at Kalamandira were taken on a romantic journey through yesteryear Kannada and Hindi songs by a group of singers led by city’s ENT specialist Dr. M.S. Natashekar, yesterday. At first, the singers rendered the song ‘Gajamukhane Ganapathiye Ninage Vandhane’ originally sung by S. Janaki and composed by M. Rangarao and written by Vijayanarasimha.

Later, songs such as ‘Aakashave Bilali Mele…’ from the movie ‘Nyayave Devaru’, ‘Deewana Hua Badal…’ from the movie ‘Kashmir Ki Kali’, ‘Mellusire Savi Gana…’ from the movie ‘Veera Kesari’,  ‘E Maunava Taalenu…’ from the movie ‘Mayura’, ‘Yeh Sama…’ from the movie ‘Jab Jab Phool Khile’, ‘Binkada Singari…’ from movie ‘Kanya Rathna’, ‘Main Kahin Kavi Na Bunjaoon…’ from the movie ‘Pyar Hi Pyar’, ‘Jaiye Aap Kahan Jayenge…’ from the movie ‘Mere Sanam’, ‘Mere Sapno Ki Rani…’ from movie ‘Aradhana’, ‘Gaganavu Yello…’ from the movie ‘Gejje Puje’, ‘Dil Ki Nazar Se…’ from the movie ‘Anari’, ‘O Sajan…’ from the movie ‘Parak’, ‘Janeman Janeman…’ from ‘Choti Si Baat’, ‘Jotheyali Jotheyali…’ from the movie ‘Geeta’, ‘Oduva Nadhi Sagara Va…’ from the movie ‘Bangarada Ho’, ‘Pyar Hua Ikraar Hua…’ from the movie ‘Shri 420’, ‘O Meghave…’ from the movie ‘Sringara Kavya’, ‘Kora Kagaz Tha…’ from the movie ‘Aradhana’, ‘Bare Bare…’ from the movie ‘Nagarahavu’, ‘Dil Kya Kare…’ from the movie ‘Julie’, ‘Yelyelli Nodali…’ from the movie ‘Na Ninna Mariyalare’, ‘Omme Ninnannu…’ from the movie ‘Gaalimaatu’ and ‘Sayonara Sayonara…’ from the movie ‘Love in Tokyo’ enthralled the audience.

Dr. M.S. Natashekar, Dr. Amritha Upadya, Rakshita Suresh, Hamsini S. Kumar, Prithvi Shankar, Manasa Pakali, Harshitha Ramachandra, Athishay Jain, Shashank Jaiprakash, Ashwin Prabhu, Apoorva Natashekar and P. Neethu Ninaad rendered the songs which were well-received by the audience.
