September 10, 2017

Mysuru: Dr. Srinivas, Veterinarian of Veterinary Hospital in K.G. Koppal at the behest of Dr. Prasad Murthy, Deputy Director, Department of Animal Husbandry, visited the house of Ajay in Dattagalli here yesterday and examined the behaviour of their pet Rottweiler dog.

The pet dog recently attacked Ajay’s four-year-old son Amoghavarsha, who is recuperating in Apollo BGS Hospital now.

Dr. Srinivas said that the pet dog was quiet now and possibly had got enraged when it attacked the child. He told Star of Mysore that Rottweiler being basically ferocious should not be teased. He further said that on that fateful day Amoghavarsha had possibly enraged the dog by repeatedly pulling its leash and began to run also which might have resulted in the dog attacking the child, as per the information provided by Ajay to the doctor.

Srinivas further said that he had checked the condition and behaviour of the dog and added that he would submit a report to the higher ups in the Department.
