Four arrested for clashes between two groups
Mysore/Mysuru: Following a group clash between two groups over ownership of a property, three persons were injured and the jurisdictional Nazarbad Police have arrested three persons, including a woman on charges of assaulting.
Those arrested are Shivakumar, Ismail, Bhagya and Gunda alias Padmanabha, who has been remanded to judicial custody. Those injured include Pradeep, Kiran and one more person, who were treated for injuries at a hospital and discharged later. On May 7, a group of people were trying to put up a board claiming ownership of the land in Survey No. 191/1 at Giriyabovipalya on Bannur Road, which was stopped by another group. This led to a wordy duel between the two groups and as the issue escalated, the two groups took to fight. This led to clashes between them during which three persons sustained injuries. Four persons, who are said to have assaulted the three along with others, have gone absconding.
Nazarbad Inspector G.N. Srikanth, who arrested the three accused on Wednesday, produced them before a Court, which remanded them to judicial custody.
