Rs.1.45 lakh cash stolen

Mysore/Mysuru: A Textile shop owner of the city has complained to the Police about Rs.1.45 lakh cash stolen from the cash drawer of his shop.

Ranjit Singh, the owner of ‘Mahesh Collections’ Textile shop located  at Kumbarageri in Lashkar Mohalla, went home after shutting down his shop as usual on the night of Sept.27, keeping Rs.1.47 lakh cash in the drawer.

Ranjit Singh returned to his shop the next morning, when he found to his shock that only Rs.2,000 was there while Rs.1.45 lakh had been stolen. He then lodged a complaint with the jurisdictional Lashkar Police, suspecting the hand of the shop employees in the theft of cash. Police are investigating.
