Rs. 1.54 cr. pending traffic fine collected in city

Mysore/Mysuru: The 50 percent rebate on pending traffic fine in the cases booked before Feb.11, 2023, which was provided for the third time from July 5 to Sept. 9, 2023 has received an overwhelming response from vehicle owners in Mysuru city.

A whopping Rs. 1,53,85,600 fine amount has been collected in 78,280 cases during the period.

From 2019 till July 4, 2023, a total of 25,98,759 cases were pending and Rs. 130,19,25,200 fine amount had been collected. Till Sept. 10, 2023, a total of 28,43,443 cases are pending amounting to Rs. 142,86,01,000, according to Police sources.
