Rs. 1.55 lakh cash stolen from car

Mysuru: Thieves have made away with Rs. 1.55 lakh cash from a car near Outer Ring Road (ORR) junction at Dattagalli in the city.

Mahadev, a hardware merchant and a resident of Gowrishankar Nagar, had kept the amount with him, to book a marriage hall for his daughter’s wedding. Meanwhile, he had gone to attend a marriage of his friend’s house, at Sa.Ra. Convention Hall in Dattagalli. He had kept the amount in the dashboard of his car. After attending the marriage, he returned to his car, only to find the cash missing.

A complaint has been lodged at Kuvempunagar Police Station.
