Rs. 45 lakh funds sought from State Government

Mysore/Mysuru: With just three days to go for Dasara wrestling tournament, the Government is yet to release funds for the event.

Addressing a press meet in city yesterday, Additional SP Dr. B.N. Nandini, who is also the Special Officer of Dasara Wrestling Sub-Committee, said that the Sub-Committee had sought Rs.45 lakh from the State Government for the conduct of tournament this year. But the Government is yet to release funds, she said.

Pointing out that the previous  Government had released Rs.35 lakh last year, she said that the authorities are awaiting funds for  the event.
