Mysuru: Miscreants, who broke the rear window glass of a car have lifted Rs. 6 lakh cash kept in the pouch of the car seat. The incident took place near the Mysuru South Sub-Registrar’s Office in Kuvempunagar Police limits on Feb. 27.
The man, who lost the cash is N. Kumaraswamy, a realtor and a resident of Helavarahundi in T. Narasipur.
Kumaraswamy, who is into real estate business, was acting as a middleman between the seller and buyer of houses, sites and agricultural lands in Mysuru city and district.
On Feb. 27, Kumaraswamy had come in his Hyundai i10 car near the Mysuru South Sub-Registrar’s Office to get an agricultural land registered, where the buyer had given him Rs. 6 lakh cash to give it to the seller. Kumaraswamy, who took the cash, kept it in the pouch of his car seat, locked the car and went inside the Sub-Registrar’s Office to complete the registration process.
After the registration process was completed, Kumaraswamy came near his car only to find the rear window glass broken. On checking the car, he found the cash missing and lodged a complaint. Kuvempunagar Police, who have registered a case, are investigating.
