Review of Mysuru District Gruha Lakshmi Scheme

Mysuru: The District-level Guarantee Schemes Implementation Committee President S. Arun Kumar said that the Government has got back Rs. 79,86,760, which was credited in the name of  15,724 ‘dead’ beneficiaries of  Gruha Lakshmi Scheme across Mysuru District.

Speaking at the progress review meeting of Guarantee Schemes at ZP Hall here yesterday, Arun Kumar directed the officials to take steps for withdrawing the remaining money that has been credited to the accounts of the dead beneficiaries.

Vice-President Shivakumar asked the officials to deliver various other Schemes of the Government such as Bhoo Guarantee, Negila Yogi, Tegada Siri etc., to the targeted sections just as State Guarantee Schemes are being implemented.

The Committee’s other Vice-President Hunsur Basavanna said that Anganwadi workers and other enumerators are being trained at the Taluk-level for reviewing Gruha Lakshmi Scheme.

He instructed the officials to sensitise the public on producing the required documents when enumerators visit their homes for reviewing the Scheme.

Committee Member S.M. Yogesh asked the officials to focus more on completion of re-survey of Gruha Jyothi (free electricity)beneficiaries. The CESC Superintending Engineer must hold a meeting with his sub-ordinates and give them appropriate instructions for completing the re-survey on time, he added.

Women and Child Development Department Deputy Director Nagaraju said one enumerator will be posted for every 250 beneficiaries of Gruha Lakshmi for carrying out the review.  

Pointing out that all beneficiaries must have completed e-KYC, he said the beneficiaries should have Bank account in Karnataka.

District Chief Planning Officer Savitha, Committee Members Abdul Khader, Cheluvaraju, Chamaraju, Lalitha and Uttanahalli Shivanna were present.
