Rtn. V. Ananda Rao (92), Past President of Rotary Mysore West and a resident of Chamundipuram, passed away on July 26 in city.

Ananda Rao also served as a lecturer in Chemistry and had spent 25 years as an expatriate lecturer at Tanzania in East Africa. He was also the Secretary of Rotary District 3180 and an exponent in narrating ‘Mankuthimmana Kagga.’

Father-in-law of Rtn. V.N. Prasad, he leaves behind his wife Sukanya Ananda Rao, two sons, three daughters and a host of relatives and friends.

As per his wishes, Rao’s body was donated to JSS Medical College, according to family sources.
