Run for dengue awareness: 4,500 from Mysuru, Periyapatna, Hassan and Kushalnagar participate

Mysuru: Bhyrava Sports Club had organised SARA RUN-2017 for dengue awareness to mark the birthday of MLA S.R. Mahesh this morning in city which was held in various categories for high school and college students and adults, all in men and women sections.

The run was launched by S.R. Mahesh at the University Oval Grounds. MLAs Vasu and G.T. Devegowda were present. All the three MLAs ran for a short distance to signify the launch.

About 4,500 people from Mysuru, Periyapatna, Hassan and Kushalnagar participated in the run taking them through main thoroughfares of city and returning to Oval Grounds. Based on the category, the lengths of the run was curtailed to come back to the starting point.

All the participants were provided a T-shirt and presented a medallion and a certificate. MUDA Commissioner Dr. M. Mahesh, Mayor M.J. Ravikumar and members of the Club were present.
