Rural Youth Congress distributes groceries kits to poor families

Mysore/Mysuru: Members of Mysuru District Rural Youth Congress distributed groceries kits to poor families at a function held at Congress Bhavan in city on Sunday.

State Youth Congress President Raksha Ramaiah distributed grocery kits, each containing 5 kg rice, 2 kg wheat flour, 1 litre groundnut oil and other such grocery items to poor families. Speaking after distributing the groceries kits, Raksha Ramaiah urged Youth Congress members to actively participate and help the public to effectively combat the pandemic in the district.

Later, members of Youth Congress also paid floral tributes to the portrait of former State Chief Minister D. Devaraj Urs on his 39th death anniversary. Former MLA M.K. Somshekar, KPCC Women’s Wing State President Dr. Pushpa Amarnath, District Congress President Dr. B.J. Vijaykumar and other members were present.
