S.T. Somashekar calls on Ganapathy Swamiji

Mysore/Mysuru: Co-operation and Mysuru District in-Charge Minister S.T. Somashekar visited Sri Ganapathy Sachchidananda Ashram on Ooty Road in city on Wednesday and sought the blessings of Sri Swamiji, who has been helping the needy during the COVID-19 crisis. 

The Swamiji had handed over Rs.5 lakh cheque to S.A. Ramdas towards PM CARES Fund; Rs. 15 lakh to MP Pratap Simha and Rs. 9 lakh to former MLA M.K. Somashekar towards distribution of food; Rs. 4 lakh to former MLC G. Madhusudan and violinist Vid. Mysore Nagaraj in support of musicians.

The Ashram has also distributed sanitisers, masks and gloves to 3,000 people including Pourakarmikas apart from donating 30,000 kg rice, 3,000 kg dal and 3,000 litre cooking oil, worth Rs.18 lakh, to the District Administration, said Minister Somashekar appreciating the concerns of Sri Swamiji. 

Ashram’s Junior Pontiff Sri Datta Vijayananda Theertha Swamiji, District Co-operative Union President H.V. Rajeev, Director Manjegowda, Ashram’s Spokesperson and Hotelier M. Rajendra were present during the Minister’s visit.
