Safaikarmachari Commission Chairman on a three-day Mysuru tour

Karnataka Safaikarmachari Commission Chairman M. Shivanna will be on a three-day visit to Mysuru from Jan. 17 to Jan. 19. Shivanna will arrive in city on Jan. 17 and will have a discussion with Pourakarmika leaders at 4 pm and will stay overnight at Jaladarshini Guest House.

On Jan. 18, he will hold a meeting at 10.30 am with concerned officers regarding the grievances of cleaning workers at Mysore University. He will hold a press meet at 1 pm, following which he will chair a meeting with the officials at 2.30 pm to hear the grievances of MCC Pourakarmikas.

On Jan. 19 at 10 am, he will hold an awareness programme with District and Taluk level officers regarding Manual Scavengers and their Rehabilitation Act (MS Act) -2013 factors. At 11 am, Shivanna will hold a meeting with the Deputy Commissioner (DC) to discuss the problems faced by Pourakarmikas and will leave for Bengaluru at 3 pm, according to a press release.
