Mysore/Mysuru: As part of its Sahitya Chavadi programme, Kalasuruchi has organised ‘Meru Smruti – Mahaniyarondigina Odanatada Nenapugalu’ by noted researcher Dr. T.V. Venkatachala Sastry at Suruchi Rangamane in Kuvempunagar on Mar. 29 at 10.30 am.

Dr. T.V. Venkatachala Sastry (Togere Venkatasubba Shastri Venkatachala Sastry) is a veteran researcher, scholar and grammarian in the field of Kannada literature. He has published more than 120 works on various genres of Kannada literature such as syntax, grammar, lexicography, poetics, book editing, literary criticism, literary history, research, biography, etc., 16 works in co-authorship and co-editing and more than 30 works as Editor-in-Chief.

He has been awarded the Nadoja Honorary Award, the Kannada Sahitya Academy Honorary Award and many other awards for his service to Kannada literature.

It is noteworthy that Dr. T.V. Venkatachala Sastry, who has immense expertise in old Kannada literature, is credited to have filled the space of noted scholar D.L. Narasimhachar.
