Mysuru/Srirangapatna: The 225th Sandal Urus of Hazarath Tipu Sultan will be celebrated on Aug. 22 at Meelad Bagh on Ashoka Road in city at 11.45 am in the presence of Sir Khazi Moulana Mohammed Usman Shariff, Bishop Rev. Dr. K.A. William and Prof. Bhashyam Swamiji.  Primary and Secondary Education Minister Tanveer Sait will preside.

The Sandal procession will be taken out along with Fukras and Darvesh through Ashoka Road, St. Philomena’s Church Circle and Fountain Circle to reach Bada Makan from where they will proceed to Srirangapatna.

At Srirangapatna: The Sandal Urus of Hazarath Tipu Sultan, organized by Hazrath Tipu Sultan Shaheed Wakf Estate, Ganjam, will be held on Aug. 22 and 23 at Gumbad-e-Shahi, Ganjam. Sandal procession will commence from Masjid-e-Ala at 3 pm and reach Gumbad-e-Shahi in Ganjam at 6 pm. Special programmes will begin from 7 pm and go on till next morning.
