Sandalwood thieves nabbed

Mysuru:  Two persons, who had stolen sandalwood from a residence  in city, have been arrested by Kuvempunagar Police.

Kiran, aged 32, a resident of Krishnagiri taluk in Tamil Nadu and Suri, aged 27, of Malavalli taluk of Mandya, are the arrested persons. During investigation, they admitted that they had stolen sandalwood from a residence on Panchamantra Road in Kuvempunagar here.

The two standing with their Pulsar bike near Dattagalli Ring Road were caught when Kuvempunagar Police who were on rounds asked them to show the documents of the bike but they could not give proper answer. Getting suspicious, Police checked their bags only to find pieces of sandalwood and a small hand saw.

Police arrested the duo and on further investigation, they said that they were going to sell the same at Mandi Mohalla. Police have registered a case and are investigating.
