Sandalwood tree felled; trunk stolen

Mysuru:  Miscreants, who chopped a sandalwood tree grown inside the compound of a house at V.V. Mohalla recently, have made away with the trunk.

The nearly 10 ft. tall sandalwood tree was grown inside the compound of the house of Naveen on 16th Cross at V.V. Mohalla.

CCTV camera installed in the house has captured image of three persons chopping the tree at about 1 am and carrying away the trunk.

Jayalakshmipuram Police, who have registered a case have collected the CCTV footage and are investigating.
