Sandalwood tree stolen

Mysore/Mysuru: After a brief lull, sandalwood thieves have struck again in the city, stealing a Sandalwood tree grown in the front-yard of a house in Jayalakshmipuram Police limits late on Thursday night.

The thieves, who entered the front-yard of the house of one Chirag Mehta on 14th Cross, V.V. Mohalla, managed to cut down Sandalwood tree and fled with 7ft. long stem of Sandalwood, while leaving out the branches, according to a complaint. 

Jayalakshmipuram Police have registered a case in this regard.
