Sandalwood trees from Zoo stolen

Mysuru: Miscreants have stolen sandalwood trees grown inside Mysuru Zoo in the wee hours of Mar.23.

The miscreants also attempted to steal a species of snake but fled from the spot after seeing the security guards, according to a press release from the Zoo Executive Director Ajit M. Kulkarni.

The press note further stated that a complaint has been lodged at Nazarbad Police Station and necessary steps have been taken to strengthen the Zoo security to prevent such incidents in future.
