December 7, 2020

Mysore/Mysuru: Hundreds of saplings have been planted within the Rangayana premises in city and works are on to secure the plants with tree guards. The tree guards have been donated by Pharmacist N. Raghavan of Raghulal and Co.

Over 300 saplings have been planted in Rangayana garden in association with Forest Department and over 500 saplings have been planted in Kalamandira premises. The plant varieties include mango, papaya, jamun, jackfruit, gooseberry, butter fruit.  Rangayana Director Addanda C. Cariappa said that Raghavan had donated 25 iron and 75 wooden tree guards. “It is because of people like Raghavan Mysuru is still green. One can see tree guards donated by him all over the city. Such environmentally conscious citizens must be recognised in district and State-level,” he said.
