‘Save our hearts’ walkathon in city on Oct. 4

Mysuru: The Mysuru Chapter of Cardiological Society of India (CSI) has organised ‘Save our hearts’, an  awareness walkathon  on preventing heart ailments, in the city on Oct.4.

Addressing a press meet, CSI Mysuru Chapter President Dr. S. Hema said the walkathon would commence from J.K. Grounds in city at 7.30 am, in which doctors, health care professionals, students and various organisations would take part.

CSI Secretary Dr. Ananda Lingan, who also addressed the press meet, said that apart from several awareness programmes, a live consultation would be broadcast in Mysore Akashvani twice in a month throughout the year.

This apart, the activities include health check-up camps and lectures, he added.
