Mysore/Mysuru: Prof. M.S. Manonmani, Head, Department of Psychology at Maharani’s Arts College for Women in city, has bagged the prestigious Savithribai Phule Fellowship National Award for the year 2020.

She has been  honoured with the award in recognition of her contributions to the social, literary and cultural development of the oppressed and downtrodden sections of the society. Prof. Manonmani was conferred the award at the two-day  36th Dalit Writers National Conference,  organised by Bharatiya Dalit Sahitya Academy at Delhi’s Panchsheel Ashram on Mar. 13 and 14, which was presided over by former Union Minister Sanghapriya Gautham. The programme was attended by Delhi Government’s Social Welfare Minister Rajendrapal Gautham, former Union Minister Sathyanarayan Jatia, Railway Board Chairman Rameshchandra Ratna and a host of                                                 other personalities.
