August 18, 2022

The Joint Director of the Social Welfare Department, in a press release, has notified all the Government, Deemed and Private Universities, Aided and Unaided Educational Institutions to not force any SC community students studying in their institutions to pay the college fees in advance.

Students belonging to SC community may download the ‘Freeship Card’ which are available in the Department Website. The authenticated card must be submitted to their respective colleges and may later pay the fee within seven days after the Department has sanctioned the scholarship amount to the student’s bank accounts. Hence, the Educational Institutions should not force the students to pay the fees beforehand.
