Schevaran earns Gold Medal in EcoVadis rating for Sustainability Performance

Mysuru, June 5- Schevaran Laboratories, Mysuru, has achieved a Gold Medal from EcoVadis, a global leader in business sustainability assessments. Schevaran scored an 82, placing the company in the top 5% globally.

The EcoVadis assessment evaluates 21 sustainability criteria across four core themes: Environment, Labour & Human Rights, Ethics and Sustainable Procurement.

More than 1,30,000 companies globally have been rated  by EcoVadis.

Building on our Silver Medal achievement in 2024, this recognition represents a disciplined and outcome driven improvement journey supported by strong leadership oversight and purposeful execution. As the only SME and one of the few in our sector to attain this distinction, we acknowledge our teams and partners for converting strategic intent into measurable results and for contributing to the advancement of industry standards,” said Sam Cherian, Founder-Chairman, Schevaran.

EcoVadis’ business sustainability ratings are based on international sustainability standards such as the Ten Principles of the UN Global Compact, the International Labour Organisation (ILO) conventions, the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) standards and the ISO 26000 standard. The ratings provide an evidenced-based analysis on performance and an actionable roadmap for continuous improvement, he said.
