Science and Commerce Exhibition held

Mysuru: A Science, Commerce and Literature Exhibition was organised at St.Joseph’s Pre-University College, Jayalakshmipuram, Mysuru, recently. The students of I and II PUC displayed their talents and skills through models and experiments.

The event was inaugurated by the chief guest Msgr. Leslie Mores, Episcopal Vicar for Health and Education, Diocese of Mysore, Dr. Nagendra Prasad, Head Biotechnology, SJCE, Mysuru, Shyamala, DDPU, PUE Board, Mysuru, Rev. Fr. Vijay Kumar, Secretary and Correspondent, MDES, Moses Jayashekar, CEO, MDES, Prof. Mani Mathew, CEO, St. Joseph’s College and  Joyce Lobo, CEO, St.Joseph’s and Matthias Institutions were among the dignitaries.

Dr. Nagendra Prasad gave a detailed insight on career options and called upon the students to pursue their passions. Msgr. Leslie Mores, Episcopal, Vicar for Health and Education, Diocese of Mysore, advised the students to adopt hobbies and habits which would make them successful in their future and blessed them.

Shyamala, DDPU, Mysuru, said that educational exhibitions immensely contribute to one’s personality, especially the children and appreciated the systematic arrangements done by the College in this regard.

In her welcome speech, J. Mary Jennifer, Principal, St.Joseph’s Pre-University College, said, “This exhibition encourages our students to be innovative and observant about all business activities and to discover what is happening in the business world. The whole process is about being innovative, creative, thinking out of the box and enjoying science. Our children exhibited projects depicting their creativity and ingenuity in various fields of science and technology. The Department of Literature has also put in this plate a number of exhibits amplifying our rich and varied cultural heritage.” Students from various schools and colleges visited the exhibition.
