Mysuru: SDM Institute for Management Development (SDM-IMD), Mysuru, hosted the two-day National-level Management Fest, NAISSANCE-2025, under the theme “From Myths to Reality: The Indian Saga” at the Institute’s auditorium in city recently.
Over 218 business school students from more than 20 colleges across India took part in the fest, blending academic discussions with vibrant cultural activities.
Dr. A.N. Santosh Kumar, Vice- Chancellor of JSS Science and Technology University, Mysuru, was the chief guest at the inaugural session.
In his address, he highlighted that education goes beyond the pursuit of money and urged the students to focus on refining their behaviour, building character and fostering lifelong learning.
He emphasised the necessity of continually updating one’s knowledge to remain relevant in today’s rapidly evolving world.
Dr. Santosh Kumar also delved into the impact of technological advancements and societal shifts, noting that such events are essential for nurturing creativity, innovation and critical thinking.
He discussed the growing influence of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in business and the pivotal role of business analytics in informed decision-making. In addition, he underscored the importance of creating value with a focus on sustainability and the role of emotional stability and stress management in personal and professional growth.
