Second PU exams from March 1 to 17

Mysuru: In the context of second PU examinations to be held from Mar.1 to 17, a meeting of Chief Superintendents of Examination Centres was held on Feb.21 at the DC’s office here to review the preparations for conducting the examination.

Chairing the meeting, DC D. Randeep asked the officers of Department of PU Education to conduct the examination in a transparent way giving no room for any confusion or irregularity.

He recalled that the second PU exams were held smoothly last time and asked the officials to religiously follow the examination guide rules. He asked the Chief Superintendents to ensure that no complaints are received.

DDPUE Dr. Dayanand provided the details of Exam Centres and responsibility of Chief Superintendents.

Tahsildars, BEOs, Principals of PU Colleges and Police officials participated in the meeting.

This time exam will be held only in the mornings. Vehicles carrying question papers to exam centres will be fitted with GPS to track the movement.

Salient features

Total Exam Centres: 50 [Mysuru-26, K.R. Nagar-3, Hunsur-4, Periyapatna – 4, T. Narasipur – 6, Nanjangud – 4, H.D. Kote – 3].

Total number of students to write the exam: 37,205 [New – 28,961, Repeaters – 6,344, Private – 1,900].

The question papers will be carried from the District Treasury by a 10-member- team which include Tahsildar, BEO  and Principals.

Sensitive Exam Centres: Government Boys PU Colleges in K.R. Nagar and Nanjangud.

Free travel in KSRTC buses

The students who are writing the Second PUC exams have been given an opportunity to travel freely in KSRTC buses and reach the examination centres.

The Second PUC students can make use of this facility in Vegdoot buses of KSRTC by travelling from the places where they live to the examination centres and back, freely.

The students can avail this facility by showing the hall tickets.

Earlier, the KSRTC had provided the same facility to students writing the SSLC exams. Now, it has extended it to second PU students as well.
