Mysuru: R. Ragini and M. Shivakumar, both 8th std. students at Acharya Gurukula Vidyapeetha, Nanjangud, have been selected to represent Karnataka at the 69th National Chess Championship to be held at Ranchi, Jharkhand.

Both had recently emerged victorious at U-14 State-level Chess Tournament for Boys and Girls organised by the Department of School Education at Adichunchanagiri in Mandya.

Residents of Kalale village in Nanjangud Taluk, both come from agricultural families.
