Selected for State-level Poetry Award

Mysuru: ‘Adi Doregala Haadu,’ a book authored by Lakshman Hosakote has been selected for the 7th Mullur Nagaraj State-level Poetry Award instituted jointly by Rangavahini and Ram Manohar Lohia  Trust.

The award will be presented at a function to be held at Maneyangala in Kalamandira on Aug. 13 at 10.30 am. The award, comprising a cash prize of Rs. 10,000, a shawl and a memento, will be presented by Andolana Editor Rajashekar Koti.

The event will inaugurated by KRIDL Managing Director Dr. R. Raju. Department of Adult Education Director Dr. S. Tukaram will speak on Mullur Nagaraj. District Kannada Sahitya Parishat President Dr. Y.D. Rajanna will be the chief guest. Folklorist Dr. Kalegowda Nagawara will preside. Rangavahini President C.M. Narasimhamurthy will deliver the introductory remarks.
