Mysore/Mysuru: Maintaining that having total self-confidence means battle half won when it comes to taking on competitive exams, Mysuru City Corporation (MCC) Commissioner G. Lakshmikantha Reddy said that there are no short cuts for success and it is only hard work that matters.
He was speaking after releasing the study book for PC and PSI written recruitment exam at the coaching camp organised at Jnanabuthi on JLB Road here recently. Pointing out that self-confidence is key for overcoming challenges, Lakshmikantha Reddy stressed on the need for total commitment, dedication and determination for ensuring success in competitive exams. Observing that most of higher officials have a rural background, he said that young aspirants must draw inspiration from such officers who have come to the top through sheer hardwork and determination.
