Mysuru: A seminar and Career Guidance Workshop was conducted by Learners PU College at Kalamandira recently for the benefit of X std. and PU students and their parents.

Several experts on the subject participated in the seminar and answered the questions posed by the parents and students.

Sreekumar, Entrepreneur from UK, laid before them a panorama of courses and career opportunities. The parents were eager to learn about the various career and educational opportunities available to choose from.

Corporator Snake Shyam, who was one of the guests, addressed the gathering and shared his views and experiences in the upbringing of the off-springs.

The panel of experts comprised some experts like Nishant Gowtam, Corporate Trainer and Founder of AICCSD (All India Corporate Council for Skill Development), Dr. Farhan Zameer, Scientist – School of Medicine, University of South Carolina, USA, Shiva Shankar, Auditor, CAG, Government of India, Priyanka, final year student of School of Planning and Architecture, New Delhi, Ananya Bhat, 3rd year student of Mysore Medical College, Shishir, first year student of JC College of Engineering, J. Omkar, first year student of NIE College of Engineering.  Malati anchored the panel discussions and posed certain useful questions to the panel and culled out important information by way of answers from them.

Soft skill trainer Pradyumna vociferously spoke about the DOs and  DON’Ts by the students and Krishna Murthy dealt with the normal errors committed by parents and the psychological bearings of such errors on the children. Rtn. Raghu spoke on “Work with Your Better Self” and stressed its significance.
