Seminar on Christianity held at UoM

Mysuru: The Chair in Christianity and the Department of Studies in Christianity jointly conducted a seminar and Christmas function at the Humanities Auditorium, University of Mysore on Dec. 16.

The Most Rev. Dr. Antony Kariyil, Bishop of Mandya Diocese spoke on Christianity and Development.

The Most Rev. Dr. K.A. William, Bishop of Mysore Diocese, in his presidential address, spoke about the importance and meaning of Christmas. He called upon all to understand the three pearls of Christmas –  love, peace and joy.

Students of Pushpasharama and Krupalaya rendered Christmas carols. Students of Nrimala High School welcomed the gathering with a dance and the  students of Avila Convent High School and Primary school children also performed. Students of Marianiketana performed Chritmas dance.

Faculty members Dr. Annamma welcomed the gathering and students Reema Fernandes and Stella compered. Dr. Dayanada Prabhu proposed a vote of thanks.
