Senior citizens can call 1090 or 112 in time of distress: Police Chief

Mysore/Mysuru: Senior citizens, are you in distress and want immediate help? Don’t hesitate to call Senior Citizens Helpline Number 1090 or 112.

Chairing a meeting on ‘Safety and Protection of Senior Citizens’ with Senior Citizens Helpline, Police Helpline and heads of various Old Age Homes in city, at his office in city on Jan. 28, City Police Commissioner Dr. Chandragupta gave a detailed account of various services for senior citizens which included separate Helpline No. 1090. 

He said that the Department was committed to provide safety and protection to senior citizens and they can seek help from Police anytime in case of distress or emergency.

Heads of 24 institutions working for Senior Citizens welfare and three Old Age Homes attended the meeting.

DCPs Dr. A.N. Prakash Gowda and M.S. Geetha Prasanna and Inspectors were present.
