The Elder Citizens Council and Elder Citizens Trust will jointly celebrate Senior Citizens Day on Oct. 30 at 11 am at their Saraswathi Samudaya Bhavana in Jayalakshmipuram. Senior citizens Prof. P. Venkataramaiah, retired Vice-Chancellor, Kuvempu University; Amshi Prasannakumar, senior journalist and M.G. Sadanandaiah, former President, Sharana Sahitya Parishat, will be felicitated. MLC Madhu G. Madegowda, who is also the President of Bharathi Education Trust, Mandya, will inaugurate the programme.
