Senior Civil Judge inaugurates National Nutrition Week

Mysore/Mysuru: Senior Civil Judge and Member-Secretary of District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), B. P. Devamaane has asked the women not to be superstitious and to develop interest towards scientific thinking.

He was speaking after inaugurating the National Nutrition Week organised jointly by Department of Women and Child Development and DLSA here yesterday at the Office of the Department Deputy Director.

The Judge said access to good education was enshrined in the Constitution. Besides, it has also given opportunity for top level officers and Ministers to become Prime Minister. “The Constitution has ensured equality in social, economic, education and political fields. Women are given equal opportunity in jobs too,” he added.

Dr. R. Venkatesh, District Health and Family Welfare Officer, explained the kind of nutritious food to be given to children. The mothers must make a vow to give nutritious food free from worms to make their children healthy. Despite prevailing COVID situation, they need to shed fear and get back to work by maintaining social distancing.
