Senior pensioners felicitated

Mysuru: The Mysuru District Karnataka State Pensioners Association celebrated Pensioners’ Day at a function organised at Ganapathi Temple  Hall in Ramakrishnanagar in city recently.

The function was inaugurated by a super senior member 92-year-old Narayanaswamy. Association President B.R. Umakanth presided.

Retired Principal Shashikala rendered invocation. Association Treasurer K.M. Nagaraj welcomed. A two minute silence was observed to pay homage to the deceased members. Retired Nursing College Principal Gangadhar demonstrated a few exercises using a chair to prevent joint pains. Dr. Mahesh Kumar and Dr. Pavan V. Joshi, explained about the precautionary measures to be taken to prevent and overcome eye defects and also gave clarifications relating to the eye problems. The Association felicitated 26 super senior members. Cultural programmes were held in which Varada Nayak  performed a mono act while  others sang songs.
