Mysuru: Senior Citizens Forum, Rajarajeshwarinagar, has appealed to Chief Minister Siddharamaiah for reservation quota for senior citizens in MUDA site allotments.

In a letter addressed to Primary and Secondary Education Minister Tanveer Sait, Forum Secretary R.M. Chetty has asked him to request the Chief Minister on their behalf to take up reservation quota for senior citizens in allotment of sites by MUDA authorities in line with Karnataka Housing Board.

Speaking to Star of Mysore, Chetty said that the Forum had written to the Chief Minister and District in-Charge Minister Dr. H.C. Mahadevappa about the appeal on welfare measures like reservation quota in MUDA and 25% concession for senior citizens to travel in Volvo buses in Mysuru city in line with BMTC buses at Bengaluru.

“Since nothing has been done in this regard so far, we have appealed to the CM again  through Minister Tanveer Sait,” he said.

Also, a memorandum requesting 25% concession for senior citizens to travel in Volvo buses was submitted to Transport Minister H.M. Revanna, who was in city recently.
