Session on “Commerce Education – Road Ahead” held in city

Mysore/Mysuru: The Department of Commerce and Business Administration in association with IQAC, Sarada Vilas College, Mysuru, had organised a one-day workshop on “Commerce Education – Road Ahead” and inauguration of Study Room for the benefit of College students recently.

G.B. Prashanth, Group Chief HRD, Colortone Textiles Pvt Ltd. and Dr. Dharma Prasad, Chief Scientist – Prosetta Bioconformatics, were the chief guests at the inauguration.

The event had different technical sessions. The first session was based on the topic “Opportunities and challenges faced by CA, CS, CMA professionals.” Prof. Satyanarayana, Dean, Department of Commerce and Business Administration, monitored the session handled by CA Uttam Padival, CMA M. Ashok Kumar and CS D.N. Panidatta. They gave deep insight into the opportunities for the courses.

The second technical session was on “Business Process Automation” presided by resource person C.A. Raghunandan Rao. He highlighted the use of software to automatic repeatable multistep business transactions which was very useful for students.

The valedictory address was by Dr. A.N. Jyothi who highlighted the day’s programme. Dr. K.S. Suresh, retired Bank Manager, Mysuru, also presented a detailed report about the programme. This was followed by certificate distribution to all student participants.

N. Chandrashekhar, Hon Secretary, Sarada Vilas Educational Institutions, Dr. M.  Devika, Principal, Sarada Vilas College, Raj Kishore, Dr. G. Ananda,  M.A. Sowmya and K.M. Cheshma were present.
